Rubbing off....

I must be rubbing off on my daughter...(go figure). My sister sent her a make-your-own-hello-kitty for her birthday and she couldn't have been more ecstatic. The package came while I wasn't home and about every 10 minutes for the next two days Brooklyn was asking if we could work on her doll yet. Finally, we could sit down and do it and she was in 7th heaven....

Proud sewer when we got her all done.
I have learned (even though I knew it already), I struggle with patience. Especially letting my kids "help". I need to take lessons from my sister.
She is super awesome at letting the kids help in the kitchen. I don't know how she does it. I guess I'm too worried about it turning out just right. I really really really REALLY need to work on that.
Brooklyn had a great time and I was proud of her for completing her Hello Kitty. We'll have to find more projects for us to do together... Both for fun and for helping me learn... :)

1. WOAH, love the new blog look, is it a blogger layout? I saw they had some new ones, but I didn't really look at them (if that makes any sense)

2. WAY to go Brooklyn. I'm sad each time you post she looks older and older

3. Way to go you on the patience. I must need to learn this too, because I get lessons in it every day. I just read a blog about Sister Beck's talk last year and the "swing shift" meaning, late afternoon, dinner and bedtime. SO not my strong point, but I need to work on it.

Miss you lots!

I have a really hard time letting my kids help in the kitchen, I know they need to learn how to do it, but I always want it to turn out just right as well! Kudos on the patience of her helping you make that!

I WANT ONE! I will have to find some of those for Lauren and I! We love Hello Kitty! I'm 30, I know, but who says I have to grow up?! ha

Heather, my guess would be michaels or JoAnn's or a similar crafty store. Debbi, Yes, it's the new "design" from blogger. I like it and I don't like it. I'm still on the fence....
