At the beginning of June, Jon's mom was making a birthday gift for his Grandma. This gift included a need for pictures. We are in desperate need of a professional family photograph. Can you tell?

June also brought with it LOTS of rain. As did the rest of the Spring. But, this is one rainstorm. In one day. It pooled in my backyard. Never fear, there is a sump pump and there was no damage :).
And, as promised, a few pics of the successful swimming lessons. The kids had a ball (with the exception of Julianne who just wanted to participate...). Mason and Brooklyn especially enjoyed the last day, when they were allowed and aided on the slide and diving board. Mason loved both and amazingly went on his own...as long as his teacher was there to catch him.
This is Brooklyn post-slide. She loved it and below see her jump off the board. She is convinced that she could jump off the diving board on her own. Never mind that there was two lifeguards, floating underneath to bring courageous jumpers up for air...
As you can see, Mason thoroughly enjoyed himself. And, this is his very excellent teacher whom Mason adored.
Before swimming lessons (and major rainstorms) commenced, we ventured into the world of a pool in the backyard. We played in it every single day. The best $15 I've spent yet.
Father's day was fun. I actually had it off work. Not that it did Jon any good. He still ended up cooking dinner anyway. We had a Star Wars' Father's day and had to try out his new pancake molds/Storm Trooper pancake flipper. They were very tasty and the kids were thoroughly content :).
See, they're loving it!
A few days after Father's Day, I made a marble cake from scratch. Jon ended up having to make the frosting (I had to get to work), but our joint effort turned out deliciously. If I must say so myself :).
And, last but not least, don't you wish you had safety goggles and a cape to run around in all day long? She does and loves every minuted of it!
Today we had a blast at our friend's house and since I'm easily frustrated with our camera, you'll just have to check out her blog to read about it :). Thanks, again Morris'! We'll have to do it again soon!
