Before our vacation

We have done a few things in the last couple weeks since school got out and since I'm having issues, they're all out of order.  Sorry!  Back at Christmas, Santa brought us a volcano making kit.  Dad finally braved the thing and everyone had a good time.... Above (and below), they're painting the volcano.  It's very...colorful.

After the paint had dried, we were ready for some lava.... woohoo!  Last Sunday, June 3rd, Mason lost his first tooth.  Honestly, he couldn't decide whether to cry or not.  I think he was worried he'd be in trouble.  When he realized that it was exciting, he was happy.  The tooth fairy brought him a dollar coin and he was content.  Wow.  His first tooth at 5.  It seems like Brooklyn was older than that.  I'll have to look.  Crazy how fast they are getting so big!
This was Mason's last day of school.  He's standing under the windows to his classroom.  He had an excellent year and now, after it's all done, I feel a little foolish for being so worried about him.  He took right to it and is already reading early readers to Julianne.  It blows my mind.
And, we're back to the volcano.  This is when they made the plaster and filled the mold.  They were so excited!
Right before school was out, we had a fun little visit from Grandma.  She brought Brooklyn's birthday gifts with her.  Brooklyn's never one to turn down gifts :).  Especially books. Brooklyn really enjoys Nancy Drew right now.  I used to have a huge collection that I gave away during my babysitting days.  I'm really kicking myself for that now...
Grandma can't say "no" when Julianne requests a game.  R2D2 Trouble, it is....
Jon's parents were here a couple days after his birthday so we had his "party" while they were here.  Machine Shed for dinner and carrot cake for desert.  Yum!
And, finally, Brooklyn's last day of school.  Next up, 3rd grade.  Holy Crap.  How did that happen???  On to the Summer!  I finally bought a zoo/sci center pass, so come July, we'll be looking for adventure buddies.  Happy Sunny days, everyone!!

Could you kindly tell your children to quit growing up so fast, please? That would be greatly appreciated! :)
