The recap

 Remember back in May?  When we had visitors?  Yeah, it was forever ago, but I just realized I never uploaded the pictures, or blogged!  Shocker, I know.  While Jon's parents were here, Julianne learned to ride without training wheels.  Dave ran down the driveway with her one time and she took off without him.  And never looked back.  She rides just like Mason, fast and with no fear.  Oiy.

 We took a little trip to Bass Pro shop.  The kids loved to watch the fish.

 We celebrated Jon's birthday, a little late, but we were kind of caked out before they came anyway...

 After our fun visit, the kids stared swimming lessons.  Brooklyn is on the level where you learn all the strokes; and by all I mean 6 or 7.  She was devastated that she didn't pass.  Oh well, next year....

 Then, we went to see Dan Wardell.  Yes you heard right.  We spent an hour in the same room as Dan Wardell.  We are that cool.  It was actually kind of fun.  The way you see him on PBS (in Iowa), that is exactly how he is in real life.

 It was rather fun.

 Then we hit the Des Moines fireworks (with friends, yay!).  I thoroughly enjoyed myself this day.  It was unfortunate that it took us an hour to get home. But, that's all part of the fun, right?

 We DO spend time together, see?

 Lastly, we hit the Norwalk parade.  It was kind of a rough morning considering our late (fireworks) night, but I love the Norwalk parade.  It's great! Plus, it includes great friends so it's double cool.

I had a sudden desire to get everyone a patriotic tee.  Who knows why, but it was totally fun :).  Happy summer!
