fall "break"

One of the perks of law school is that they have a "break" part way through each semester. I say "break" because more often than not, the law students spend the time catching up, getting ahead, preparing resumes, working, or otherwise job-relation inclined. So it has been for our household up until this year. Jon was going to take Friday off (but ended up at work) so we could play. Friday didn't quite work out as planned, however, so Saturday was the day we made it out the door. It was a little road-trip of sorts to see a little more of iowa. We headed up to Mason City. There's a wind-farm there, a Shopko :), and a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It was really interesting. It was fun to get away too.

Coming up this weekend is the big OU game with part of the Hibshman Family. Yeah, we're excited.

Also, this last weekend Mason officially pulled ahead of Brooklyn in the hair cutting department. He's now 2 for 1 on her. Our second hair-cutting event took place over this last weekend. Isn't Mason so handsome?? The picture of him in his P.J's is the before Pic, and then when he's ready for church is the After pic :)

I had more to post about when I sat down, but now, after a couple welcome interruptions :), I can't remember what they were. So, when they come to me, I'll post again. Happy Day!

Isn't that how "fall break" always is? By the 3rd year now, I've forgotten it even is "fall break". :) Good for you guys getting out on Sat. though!

I found your blog on Trisha and Zach's site and just couldn't help but drop a little note and say HI! IT's fun catch up on all of the "OLD MACEY'S BUNCH". I must say that I am thrilled that I will never have work another day at Macey's so long as I live!
I can't believe that you have two kids now!

That's so fun you guys got to get away for fall break and I so know about the interruptions that make you forget everything that you were trying to do before! It's a good thing our kids are so cute :)

BEAUTIFUL! What a fun trip! And I love Frank Lloyd Wright. He's one of my favs (a little quirky, but it seems to have worked for him!)

I do have to agree Anne-Marie, your son is HANDSOME!

What a great trip. Frank did some awesome stuff didn't he? Mason is so handsome. How on earth do you get a baby to sit still for a haircut?

Fun little trip! I wish we took more trips around Iowa, and now our time is almost up! Gotta love those mini-breaks!

I remember waiting FOREVER in line to go through a Frank Lloyd Wright house just outside of Chicago...but once inside it was very interesting and worth it. I think no matter where you head it is just great to get out as an entire family. As others have said, the pict. of Mason by the Mason sign is great!
