Meet our resident Bunny. We've been watching him grow all summer. He lives under our deck and comes out around breakfast to eat grass and the leaves on the bushes. The bigger he gets, the more we see him. While I don't mind having him around, I wonder if planting a garden will even be worth it? Will he eat everything I plant? Who knows. Lucky for him, he's smart enough to not let the kids get close. Once he decides we're coming out to play he disappears. We'll see if he hangs out all summer....
We colored eggs. At bedtime the night before Easter. But at least we did it. That's what happens when I work 5 nights out of 7 and one night we do our weekly Costco run (Jon likes to go with me for that one...). The kids enjoyed it. We always run out of eggs before they're bored, but we don't really need 3 dozen boiled eggs so....
Not related to Easter, but these kids are classic in their sleeping positions. Julianne must have the light on until she falls asleep anymore. We started leaving it on so Brooklyn could read (and not destroy her eyesight) and Julianne freaks out if we turn it off before she's asleep. She appreciates a good book in bed, as well....
What's wrong with this? Don't you make your bed before bedtime and then sleep on top of it, at the foot no less, so you don't have to make it in the morning? You don't? Huh. She does.
Jon took the kids to the annual Fire Station breakfast here in Norwalk. Brooklyn was there, too but she went with her friend so she wasn't in the pics. I, as usual, was at work. They had a blast, though. They had breakfast there and then got to climb on the fire engines. Pure delight from these two. They were thoroughly entertained.
And finally, Easter morning. I got Brooklyn a new shirt and skirt; Mason a new shirt; and Julianne a new-to-her dress just for the occasion. What's Easter without a new Easter outfit? It just wouldn't be right :).Hopefully I'll blog again before Brooklyn's birthday, but I'm not making any guarantees. :). She's going to be 7 in a couple weeks and we discuss her gift-wish-list daily. She's decided she needs a DS, DS games, an i-pod, music for her i-pod, and wii games. Seriously? Lucky for her, she might get a wii game. Maybe. She'll have to settle for more imagination toys. I'm not ready for her to be so high-tech. Heaven help us ;).

OH, I love the new background, it is new, right? I like it a lot!
I can't believe how big Julianne is getting! I know she is the same age as Avery, but it doesn't seem like she should be to me.
How fun to watch the bunny too, I would love that:) Have you thought about putting a garden in with the nets on top of it? I don't know if that would help. We have a few bunnies in our neighborhood that we've seen a few times. They ate my strawberries last year:( boo.
OH, and can you believe that our kids are 7? (in a few weeks) It blows my mind. how can we manage a big group baptism next year? hum........
I think wade should find a job in DES moines! Totally!
I saw you commented on my blog and thought I skip over and say Hi! We miss Des Moines, It crazy it's been almost 5 years since we lived there. Time flies. I have to tell you Kaden begged and begged for a DSXL YES DS XL for christmas and though I didn't want to start video gaming yet I didn't want to ruin our christmas either so he got one, and it's pretty fun (Mario Cart) we only let him play in the car.
PS. He has also asked to a Cell Phone, YES I put my foot down on that one. (HE already has an ipod, THANKS GRANDMA!)
My 6 year old asked for (and didn't get) a DS for Christmas this last year. I have, however, worked out a trade for a used DS for Christmas for this year, and I can barely wait the 7 months until that happens.
Yesterday, he told me, "Mom, this year for Christmas I am going to ask for a DSi. It's like a DS but you can take pictures and video. You can still play games like a DS, except it is a DSi, and it is better."
Hopefully he'll still like the used DS.
Your new back ground is super cute! I need to do that on my blog, it has been the same for.ev.er!!! :)
That is so fun that you have a little bunny hanging around. My kids would love that... and that's the closest thing they would get to having a pet ;) I also can't believe how big your kids are getting! I know mine are too, it just seems to happen so fast. They're sure cute! And I love their funny sleeping positions! They are too funny.
