Sice I had it all ready, we gave him the bottle to calm him down and tried cereal for the first time!
Because he was so hungry, he DID NOT appreciate his bottle being taken from him. We got cereal in his mouth but I'm not sure he even noticed.
So, we gave him more of his bottle and intermittedly tried again and again. Yeah, we're kinda stubborn.
Needless to say, it didn't work out so well. The cereal ended up down the sink, and we ended up making Mason more formula.... Oh well, at least we tried.
So this morning, Mason and I were up around 6:40 a.m. It was his second night of sleeping all the way through, so I was ok with being up then. Since we were up, I got showered before Jon left, and for some reason, Brooklyn was up at 7:50. I know, I know early morning for us (and we didn't even have anywhere to be)! Needless to say, by 9:15 we were all dressed and ready for the day. Mason had even had a mini nap while I did my makeup and hair. It was pretty amazing. I knew by then that Mason was getting hungry and would be ready for a bottle soon, so I thought I would try again. I made him a bottle, mixed the cereal (much faster this time since I'd had a little refresher course on how much milk it takes the day before), settled him into the bouncer and tried again. It went MUCH more smoothly this time.
I was even talented enough to take pics, while feeding him!
And then, we finished the bottle and were content. It was all very successful and I think he actually wanted more! Memo to me: Only feed him a bottle if he's hungry and really really mad.... he won't focus on anything else!

This is way fun. I love being part of "everyday life." He is a cutie!
Wow - he did good today - those pictures crack me up from yesterday! He just looks more and more like Brooklyn!
What a cute fmily. I love to see the pics. Keep them coming! Tell Jon hello.
starting cereal is the worst! You always have to find the right time, and they spit it out all over and make a huge mess. I haven't started Ashlyn officially yet, but I'm sorta dreading it. Congrats on the success!
