babbling...

I cannot believe how quickly it got cold around here! I left for choir yesterday a.m. and got about two steps before I came back in for a jacket! I've also discovered that it's going to be this way for about a week. GOod thing my kid is a twig and still fits into her jackets from last year. Also, luckily, someone who loved us when I had Mason gave us a jacket in his current size. Good thing!! I do like the change, but this one seemed a bit sudden. I just ran into the dilemma for weather like this, though. We ate, ran to the groc store, and watched a movie...Now what? It's only 2:30. Jon won't be home for 5 more hours. I supposed we could watch another movie, but I try not to do that. Brooklyn is currently aimlessly wandering around the living room, and i think Mason's about ready for another nap (mmm, a nap....). Who's husband has one of those cool light thingy's that can look in Mason's ears? I suspect he has an ear infection, but isn't really showing consistant signs enough to justify an office visit. Ear infections weren't frequent at our house, so I'm not so much the expert on them...
Mason is finally picking up on sitting. He will sit by himself for a minute or two, but then forgets to balance and falls over. It's rather amusing, to me anyway. He doesn't much appreciate it when I don't catch him. One of these days, he'll do it for real and we'll all be a little more content. I can't believe how fast he's growing, though. 7 1/2 months already! Brooklyn's nearing the 3 1/2 mark, too. Where does the time go? Ah well. I love being around to see it! I don't have any recent pics on this computer, so I'll post some next time. I did some scrapbooking over the weekend, and I'm currently doing random things from 2006. It's amazing how much Brooklyn has changed and yet still is the same. She still looks the same (without so much of the baby face) and still talks much the same (tone-wise) as the videos we have. It's pretty amazing. I can't wait for she and Mason to really start interacting. They do now, but I'm sure that once he says more than "da-da-da" (which is a current favorite) there will be very little quiet time here. We'll just have to wait and see! Happy Monday, all!

How fun that he is almost sitting up. He is growing fast--they both are. Can't wait to see them.

Hi Anne-Marie!

It's me, Kristen, just stoppin' in to say hello! I have to say I love your red hair! My baby (Kourtni) is a red head. NO ONE ELSE in our family (including my husband's side) is red head, so we are thrilled to have one! Red hair is so beautiful! She's already got that "red head" attitude too, and just between you and me, I LOVE IT! So spunky and quite a fireball!

You are so cute, I hope we can become better friends through this great big blogging world!

Todd has an ear light thingy, he even has pediatric cover things to go on it, so if you really decide you want him to look just let me know, he wouldn't mind. I am right there with you on the weather change, I didn't feel prepared at all.

Yay! I LOVE it when my babies can sit up by themselves :) And I so know about the countdown until bedtime (that's more reliable for me than when daddy gets home) I love my kids, but there's something so nice about when they go to bed... :) Christian (my husband) is a designer and works in San Francisco, and he works way too hard if you ask me ;)

Sorry I haven't commented much lately. I've been a slacker. I will have to see Mason's progress sometime too when he is feeling better, he looked so sad today.
