the oath...

Ah...yet another blessed day at the Hibshman Household. Jon took his oath and took the first steps to becoming a certified attorney. Lucky for us, in Nevada, you can take your oath in front of a notary. So, I didn't have to worry about my kids terrorizing the court, just the office (they have a notary at the office). It was pretty awesome to watch. I felt really stupid going in: the crazy wife that must come take pictures. But, my fears were quickly soothed when Jon's boss came out toting a camera and pulled the other attorney out to watch as well.

"patiently" waiting the big moment (as if they really knew what was going on)
the beginning of the pictures
new pic for the firm's brochure (this is Jon's boss)
the actual oath
Yay! We made it! The fateful signatures and sparkly water to celebrate

This is how Jon really feels about being a "real" lawyer :).

I think he still will be sworn in in a federal court (where we'll actually have to go to the courthouse) but this will get him on the bar in NV...let the trials begin! It is SO exciting! Yay!

SO COOL! He looks spiffy in his suit...all business like. Being that we dress up for church every sunday our husbands have a lot of dressier clothes. I never thought of that before until someone at Bret's school pointed out how he (bret) always has a new tie or dress shirt...anyway...that was random ...

I looooove Brooklyn's hair! So short and cute!

Again congrats to jon and to the family. Now we know who to call when we need some legal advice :)

p.s. jon's comment about the old lady did in fact make me smile and I could totally hear him saying it LOL!

Congrats to you both! Jon passed the bar, but we men are smart enough to admit that it's no one-man show with a family. That's great! I still have four more years before being able to smile like that. Strong work!
