First attempt

Thinking, it might be fun....I took the side off the crib today. Thus making it a "daybed". Or so they say. Mason and Brooklyn LOVED it. You'd think Brooklyn had never seen it that way. (Let's not forget that SHE slept on it that way for more than a few months). Anyway, I was feeling brave, so we attempted naptime without the side. It went better than expected, but not successfully.
before the nap...definitely in a "cheesy" mood.
blankie, check. book, check. Here we go....

After two hours.... I went in to see, and this is what I found....

And, this.
So, no nap today. He didn't cry, he didn't fuss. He did try to come out, Once. But, since he can't open the door, he was effectively locked in. However, after two hours, I could hear him playing with a book that played music so I went to see what was happening. I found the door locked, and walked in on an empty bookcase. Needless to say, the side is going back on for a little bit. Maybe we'll try again soon. Oiy...what an adventure!

Sounds like he had a fun nap time!

Good luck with that!
I keep thinking about moving paige out of her crib...and maybe into bunkbeds together in one room. But then I stop and wonder why I'd want to stop a routine that's working so well...I am not that brave or energized yet.

I love it, if I let Noah take a nap in his big bed this is exactly what his room looks like! I kinda think it's cute, but totally frustrating...but Noah knows how to do the door so he comes out. I make him nap in the crib. Good luck with Mason, I love that he takes after his sister - it sounds like something Brooklyn would do! Miss ya!

How cute! At least he didn't fuss since he didn't get his nap in.... I am anxious to see how Oakley does when we convert her bed to a toddler bed! :)
