quiet

Life has been pretty quiet here at the Hibshman Household. Nothing terribly exciting to report. We've looked at dozens of houses, tried to budget money, played with the kids, played with Jon's siblings, pretty thriller, eh? Tonight, it's 7 p.m. and Jon isn't home yet. He probably will be another hour. I don't know why it's so hard. He's gone all day, what difference does being gone in the evening as well make? It sure does. Bathtime is at least another 1/2 hour and I don't know what else to do with the kids. Of course, I could let them drag out all their toys, but we just picked all those up! We played some games, and at the moment, Brooklyn is doing her endless running. Mason is following her around. It seems to be enough, so here I sit, blogging. I don't know why these days seem so much longer than the others.
On a brighter note, I'm almost done with the Christmas gifts I'm making. I'm pretty proud of myself. I wish I could post some pics, but then they wouldn't be a surprise for the recipiants. So, you'll all just have to use your imaginations. I've been domesitcated and crafty. We'll leave it at that :). I have a goal this year to give as few gift cards as I can. I know that they're great. I love to get them, too. But it just isn't the same as opening an actual Gift. A gift that someone thought about what you love and found something just for you. Unfortunately, there are always those hard-to-buy-for-types that a gift card is the best thing. It's my goal, though, so I'm going to stick to it. Only one person on my list so far is staring a gift card in the face. It was on their wish list, though so I don't feel as bad.
Tonight, all my buddies in good old ds of m are hanging at the theater, being the first to see Twilight. Although I don't feel a pressing need to see the flick tonight (or even this weekend, for that matter), I'm wishful to be there. Just to hang and laugh and giggle. Have a great time, girls! I'm thinking of you!
This time last year, we were heading out to Colorado to enjoy Thanksgiving with my sister and her family. Although I'm excited for our plans this year, I'm missing seeing her and having her all to myself (and watching her spoil my kids. It reminds me of our aunt she used to live with, but that's another story).

It was such a great trip. Look how little and cuddly Mason still looked!

Lots of good memories. Anyhow, I've babbled enough. Maybe we'll do something fun this weekend that will come with pictures and be blog-worthy! Happy weekend all! I hope your holiday week is a good one!

Your family is so cute and I love reading about them. I am also excited for your third...that is so fun! So, thanks for the comments about the book. I am so self conscious about it. I don't have a ton done, but I am working on it. Anyway, you guys are in Vegas right? I am going to be down there next week. We should meet up. Or, I could swing by if you aren't going to be so busy with family. Let me know, I would love to meet your kids and catch up.

Talk to you later!

I"m with you, nighttime is hard, and I always think it shouldn't be, but I think it is. I wish I could go look at houses with you, at least that is exciting to look - we drive around, but can't officially look for anything until after match - in march! argh.

When are you going to see twilight? I don't feel pressed to see it tonight, I am going to see it with all my sisters when they come for Christmas, and hopefully by then we can have the theater by ourselves and have a good funny time.

you are good about gifts and cards, I did digital cards this year, not as crafty as last year, but oh well.

hope you have a good weekend too! Wish you were here!

Hey,
missed ya last night. The movie was AWESOME and SO glad we saw it on opening night. We got to see all the teeny boppers sporting their I love Edward shirts and all the crazies get excited. It was awesome! You'll have to tell me how you liked it when you do see it.

I think evenings are hard because you've already had a whole day of being Mom and so at night you need a break and you know that usually your other half should be theree to supply that. Anyway, I know how you feel...ugh!

Good luck house hunting!

*The night is hard to still have the daddy gone....last night by 7:30 my kids were IN BED because I had simply run out of entertaining ideas and their tears told me that they were DONE. We all were done!
*Hope that you have a "blogworthy" weekend!
*Good job on the crafting/gifting! I have so many ideas...but need to muster up the motivation.
*notice how I renamed myself to help you keep track of all your "sarahs"!
