Here we are again....with nothing really to blog about. Mason has another cold...poor kid. Stuffy nose, cough. You know. I'm hoping, now that he's two, I can at least give him something over the counter. We've been loving the weather the last couple days. Teasing around 70, we were outside for a couple hours yesterday and hit a park first thing this morning. This morning was a little chilly, but I just went out to get the mail and it's a shame Mason is napping (no it isn't....). I was chatting with my friend about painting walls this morning and now I'm itching to get going! Maybe after "rest time" with Brooklyn (we're watching Aladdin, one at the top of my list) I'll go attempt the wallpaper in that bedroom. Does anyone have any decorating secrets they'd like to share with me? Where to get cheap paint? Shortcuts? How to choose a color? You know. I'm starting at the very very VERY bottom. I have no idea what I'm doing. Jon hung up a few pictures last weekend and it's amazing how much it makes it feel like our house. We still have a LOT more, but we can't decide where to hang them. It's a LOT more complicated when your number of walls increases 10-fold. :).
We're looking forward to a fun weekend with Jon's sister (not that I have any grand plans, or anything) but it's always awesome to hang out. Plus, Jon's going to the "big" race on Sat. with his cousin, and I'm SO excited not to be alone all day :). So, bring on the coming weekend, and bring on those decorator secrets!

My one tip is to watch a lot of HGTV :-)
I am sure there are a lot of tips on their website too:

You are so lucky you have a blank canvas :-)
Have fun with Katie this weekend!
Isn't it fun when you actually get to pain your walls? Get lots and lots of paint samples and then hold them up to your walls. That's what we always do when we paint! Then you can mull it over and get the perfect color.
Poor Mason, hope he gets better!
I LOVE decorating! I have seen some really cute kids rooms. Call me, and I can tell you about it, I don't really have the room to explain it. I am doing to my kids rooms for sure! It will be fun to have Katie come for the weekend! ;)
