Several weeks ago now, Jon decided to take the kids for the weekend to see his Dad. I couldn't go thanks to two closing shifts, but they had such a great time! They played and toured and played some more. I was a little jealous, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy a little quiet time. I finished a quilt I was working on, watched chick flicks and slept in. It was great. I was, however, very glad to see them on Sunday afternoon!
We sure love having Jon's dad so close and we'll be SUPER sad when he goes back to Utah. We keep inviting his Mom to move out for a while, too but she is not biting :).
Here's the quilt I made. It was way fun to make. The back is the black/pink pattern that you can see int he upper left corner. I love making quilts! Who knew I would? I've decided to not make another until I can get some quilting boards. Tying a quilt on the floor takes more than two hands, I've discovered....
Finally, we got to make a snow man. Ok, Jon got to make a snowman... The kids enjoyed it and the snow was perfect. He melted within 3 days, unfortunately. The hat was Brooklyn's idea. they stepped on the snow and then used the footprints. Pretty smarty pants, eh? Now, we're looking at 70 degree weather all week and closer to 80 tomorrow. No more snowmen for us....
A couple weeks ago, I attempted some Nutella cupcakes. They were delish. Pinterest is a dangerous thing....
Someone lost another tooth. I like to call her toothless. She doesn't care for it. The side teeth are already loose. I don't know how she's going to eat anything if they keep falling out!!
Jon grew a beard. It was a funny process. He's actually trimmed it once, but it's driving him crazy. He looks good, I think, but he looks good clean-shaven, too.
We were supposed to hit the park today but thanks to 3 fevers, we're stuck at home. Hopefully they'll be short lived...

Woah, I think I would walk right past Jon on the street and not know him with that beard!
I like your catch up posts. I hope everyone feels better soon:)
I loved that post, how fun!
Enjoyed reading this post:)
Hope the fevers have broken and the kids are all feeling better now.
I dig a man with facial hair but I can imagine how itchy it is (or was...did he shave it?).
He shaved last night, Debbi, you will know him once again :)
Adorable family & the quilt turned out super cute!
