My Mother-in-law gets this cute crafty magazine that had an AWESOME little tote in it! I couldn't resist, so we headed to the fabric store that night and I got to work.
Actually, it was a little more complicated than that... First off, we went to Hobby Lobby, not realizing the time and that they closed at 8 (instead of 9). So, we had 10 minutes. I found some really cute fabric that I liked, but was unwilling to pay $7 a yard. Seriously, when did fabric get so expensive?? So, we headed to Wally world. Although they were cheaper, that wasn't any patterns I couldn't live without. There were a few that I liked and that would have worked, but we went to Joann's just to check them out. Their prices ranged from the walmart to beyond hobby lobby. We did find, however, some fabric that we both liked there so we made a purchase and headed home. I was so excited about the project that I couldn't wait! Carole got her cutter for me and I went to work. I wish I was a little better at cutting straight, but it all worked out in the end :) I wish I had a reason to spend the money on making another one, it was SO FUN! I love sewing! Too Bad it's so darn expensive!

for some reason the slide show never loaded, but I love the bag, fabric is WAY expensive now, I just went last night to make a quilt for my sisters baby (cross your fingers) that the papers are signed this afternoon! I want the pattern, it's way cute!

Maybe I'll have to come over and you can show me how to make one! It is so cute! I always see cute projects in magazines but never end up making them....so I admire you!
CUTE!! We're just waiting for my mom's serger and sewing machine to get repaired and then we're going to have a marathon skirt sewing :)
That is such a cute tote! It doesn't look easy to me though. Where are you all at right now? You are not settled yet, right? I get so confused trying to keep up with everyone!
