Within a second or two, I realized it wasn't. He slipped trying to climb back in. And did that. I felt HORRIBLE. Trying to contain my emotion so I could calm him down, I got him dried off and dressed. Then, as I was putting towels away, he started climbing up the vanity for his tooth brush. Instead of stopping to help him, I told him to hang on while I hung up the towels. Bad idea number 2. He slipped again and bit his tongue on the side partway down. Poor kid. Two mouth injuries in as many minutes.... I was feeling REALLY down by now and we were hurrying to get the kids down before Jon left. Bless his heart, he offered to stay. I said I was fine. Not entirely true, but I wanted him to go have a good time.We got him to a dentist today and I was so scared how it would go. He lets Dr. V check him out, but the pediatrician here in Las Vegas didn't go so well. I was nervous to say the least. Brooklyn was way bummed she wasn't getting her teeth cleaned, which is good. So, we took him in. He climbed up on the chair. Opened his mouth every time they asked him to, and even let the dentist file down the sharp corner. I was SHOCKED to say the least. Needless to say, his tooth isn't bothering him and looks less like it was chipped. Hopefully there wasn't any damage to his permanent tooth. OIY. Bring on the mother of the year....

Poor kid! Tyler did that EXACT same thing when he was 18 months old. Not kidding either. Slipped in the bath tub and chipped that same front tooth and it's so funny because it looks EXACTLY like that! And it's never bothered him either, and luckily it's a baby tooth that will fall out in a few years. Wasn't my best day as a mom, for sure. But reading your story was just crazy since we have one oh so similar! Hope he is recovering!
Awh! Poor Mason! And Poor Mommy! I know you felt so bad, like I know I would, but accidents happen. I am glad he was such a good boy at the dentist.. . I am DREADING THAT DAY!!!!
Poow wittle mason!!!
That's so sad! Poor little guy. Abby "helped" Gabe go down a metal slide over spring break last year, it did not end well. Needless to say, he ended up having a root canal on one of his front teeth just to keep it from turning black and falling out of his mouth.
Ah, the stories I could tell for my own nomination for mother of the year! I think you're doing a great job, you're just super pregnant and (now don't get mad about this) a little over emotional. :)
That last one was me. Sorry, Rosie was helping me and pushed a button and then the comment was saved. OOPS!

So sad! Don't you love those "mother of the year" moments. Don't worry I am sure he will recover and need only minimal counseling when he is older, lol.
Poor little buddy!
I think it's pretty cute!
