is what I came up with. Now that I'm done, I wonder if I should've lined it so it doesn't look so thin against the window. But, I don't care enough to rectify the situation...I'll just remember that for next time. I bought a curtain rod to hang up the boy valance assuming it would be hidden (the curatin rod, that is), only to find that it had ties that were to be tied over the rod. I didn't much care for the look that gave the valance so I cut them off and just threaded the rod I bought through. As soon as I talk Jon into hanging up the rods ('level' and 'even' are not part of my forte), I'll take some pics. We're going to hold off on painting the walls until we know who is going to be sharing their room (one of them is a foot or two bigger than the other....).Other things:
Mason's having some issues with gravity lately. The other day we were at the park and he was swinging on the swing on his tummy. Somehow, he over compensated and went face-first into the sand. Poor kid. He had a mouth and nose full and I couldn't get him to spit it out. I didn't even notice until later the road rash on his forehead and the scratch on his nose. The very next day (yesterday) he was riding his bike, and how I don't know, went over the front end and bonked his forehead-in the exact same place- on the cement of the driveway. So, he has a bruise there now, too. Not to mention his knees. Then this morning, he tripped walking into church and got a little srape on his elbow. Seriously, I may be staring another ear-infection in the face. He always seems to be a little tipsy when he gets those.....
What better thing to do on a Saturday night than watch a movie? Oh yeah, watch tractors on you-tube at the same time. This kid is endlessly entertained with watching tractors, trucks, anything that moves really. If he catches jon on the computer he asks to look at tractors. His concentration last night was just too funny to pass up...
Finally, the weather here has been pushing 80 all week (although at the moment it's closer to 60 and blowing like crazy). So, needless to say, we've been to the park a few times. There's a park in our subdivision which is SUPER nice, but it has sand. Kids love it, I could do without it....Bark chips seemed a lot less.....dirty. They like it though, and a nightly bath is part of our routine, anyway, so whatever. It's good to get outside, that's for sure.I finally saw Twilight last night. It was ok. I knew the books would be much better and that's exactly what I ended up thinking.... I didn't like the way Jacob described the legend in the movie and I didn't feel like Bella was so awkward through the entire book. The movie seemed like she was uncomfortable the entire time. Around Edward, with her new friends, and with the Cullens. Anywho...I know that's old news for most of you, but I just thought I'd share.
Happy Spring, everyone!!

Awesome jobon the valence, you are becoming a domesticated goddess!
What cute kids! I can't wait to see you guys again.
Poor Mason! He had a rough week, huh?? Do you think boys or girls are easier??
Poor little Mason! How do kids (and their parents) survive childhood? What a cutie? Are the kiddos ready for little babe? How exciting that you are soooo close! I love your curtain. You are so ambitious. Someday I'll grow up to be cool like you!
It sounds wonderful to have such warm weather, I'm sure you are loving it after living in Iowa. Love the picture of Mason watching the computer, you gotta love the internet and all of the entertainment it provides.
