Fun with Aunt Sara

Aunt Sara was here for a whole week and we had some great times! One day she came up to Logan and we ran errands and went bowling when Brooklyn got out of school. The kids LOVE bowling, as do I. Unfortunately, I cannot bowl in real life as I do on the Wii. Shocker, I know. I bowled a 94, Mason an 86, Brooklyn an 88 (I think), and Jon smoked us all with a 131.

Bowling is such fun. Parker did excellently as well. And Sara is always Very good company.

Then, on Friday, we decided to tour the Union Station on 25th street in Ogden. It was very cool. Mason was in heaven. They had the train museum of course and then a Browning museum and a small display of old cars.

I was fascinated by the actual station. It was HUGE. I can just imagine hundreds of people milling around waiting for the train. It was beautifully constructed.

They had all these fun things for the kids to play on and explore and several electric trains running along tracks.

This is a little model of my dear hometown. It was rather funny that all the informational posters had the name spelled wrong, but all the banners and signs it was right.
Mason tolerated the guns and cars, but the trains held his interest the longest.
Outside, they have several trains on display which were simply stunning. Trains do not seem so big until you are standing RIGHT next to one....
Afterward, we stopped for ice cream and as you can see, Julianne thoroughly enjoyed it!
Here are me and two of my sisters. It was a good time!

I will have to take my goons there soon. Alex would LOVE it! Is it free?

Nope. You have to pay to get into the 3 museums, but the trains outside are free :)
