Julianne & matchy matchy

We made it the Dr, and so far...we've only been once. We'll see if it lasts!

Julianne is doing GREAT!!! She's up to 18 lbs and 29.5 in long. That shoots her up to the 7th percentile in weight (Which was 2nd %ile at 10 mo)! WOOHOO. Thank goodness for real food! She's so funny. The Dr kept saying, "Now, we're going to look in your mouth. Now let's have a listen." and each time he said something she'd shake her head "no" and wave her hand in front of her. (She always waves her hand when she doesn't want stuff. Kind of like a one-handed "safe" call). She didn't cry when they poked her finger to test her iron and lead, but she didn't appreciate the nurse holding her hand and arm. But, boy howdy, did she scream when the shots came. Not that I blame her, though. Four shots and two new teeth is going to make for an interesting few days.....

I wish I had Brooklyn's baby book so I could see what she was weighing at her 1-year check. It seems that Julianne is a little bigger with how Brooklyn's clothes fit her. I keep trying to remember that technically Julianne is a month older than Brooklyn was, but it still seems strange that some things are small on her. Oh well.

Brooklyn and Julianne have never had anything Matchy matchy. I think it's really cute, but in all honesty, I'm just too cheap to buy Julianne new things when I buy Brooklyn new things. Since Julianne has Brooklyn's entire wardrobe, it seems unwarranted. I wanted to give it a go, though, so yesterday I made them matching skirts. Julianne's turned out to be a pain, but that's mostly because I'm losing my mind and got distracted.
I can't wait to see them both in a white shirt with their skirts on. It should be pretty cute!

Brooklyn danced around in hers all evening and Julianne toddled around after her. :). Good times! Mason's been begging me to make him a "red" tie. I was going to make him a tie out of the skirt material, but Jon says it's a little girly. We'll see....

CUTE! I made skirts for Ella a while back with that same pattern I think. For me it was a little bit of a challenge, but that's because I'm sewing skillz lacking :)

You should make a ton more with different material for the Summer months. I don't know about your girls but my girls live in skirts in the summer.

you're just on a sewing roll aren't you?!
