pms for a 3 yr old?

Let me just start out by saying: until I had kids, I always assumed PMS didn't come until after puberty. BOY, WAS I WRONG!! As noted on Erica's blog; Brooklyn is SO emotional some days. It isn't all the time, but some days I wish she'd gone to work with her dad. Wednesday was one such day. I should've known something was afoot when I almost forgot about Mason's Dr. appt. It was 8:30, I poured myself a bowl of cereal and I was about to log on and surf the blogs when I realized that it was WEDNESDAY and Mason had a Dr's appt at 9:10. Needless to say, Brooklyn was still sleeping, Mason in his p.j.'s, and I hadn't even begun to get ready. We rushed and actually made it on time. I was still feeling good about the day. Then, being his 6 mo checkup, he got shots. He cried until I picked him up. Brooklyn, on the other hand, cried until we'd driven part of the way home. She kept telling me that Mason's owies hurt her feelings...whatever. That should've been a hint of how our day was gonna play out. It wasn't, however, so we went about our day. I got ready, we went to lunch bunch, ate and headed toward the playground. That's where it all began. Gage was pretending to carry around some cars. Somehow, they ended up with Brooklyn. Then, of course, he took back HIS PRETEND cars. I'm sure he was nice about it, he wasn't doing anything to her that day. She, though burst into tears. How could Gage take HIS PRETEND cars away from her???!! Of all the ruthless things....I mean, what a kid!! I wasn't not in the mood to handle such emotion and struggled to remain calm. Brooklyn "wanted" to go home, but I wanted her to chill out so I made her play. Soon all her friends were hanging out on the lion and she didn't want to join. She just stood there, looking pathetic. Finally she did climb up. Only to sit there pouting and start crying again when everyone was Roaring for fun. that was when we left. She was emtional for another hour or so, and after that, you would've never known the first 3/4 of our day was full of tears. Seriously, I don't know if I can take such rollercoasters very often. It made for an interesting day at least. Here's the pics from the lion. Feel free to download them if you want a copy :D.

oh my! sounds like my little girl and she is 4. some days are just pms bound for her. nothing will satisfy her. like today, we drive up at the babysitter's who only keeps my kids so she has to play with her brother all day and night and she/he are tired of this, but anyway, she didn't want to get out of the car and i said ok, well i'm going in and i did. the babysitter had to go out and get her and she was crying when she come in, not because i had left her out there, but because she didn't want to get out. she wanted to lay in the seat and sleep and then go to work with me! haha someday's you can't even look her without her making a face at you. if it is like this now, how is it going to be when she is 16? haha

I miss lunch bunch. I loved eating together and then visiting while the kids played. I hope things go better for you this weekend.
