Yesterday was so full of promise. So full of things that could be done. Unfortunately, they weren't. Usually when I'm alone for the evening, I take advantage and watch a chick flick without the sighs and strange looks from my dear husband. This was my plan last night. The day started out a little sad, Jon wasn't able to go with his friends. Then, after an hour at work, I got sent home so he could. Joy! Suddenly, I was home all day by myself and all evening too. As Erica would say:
Yay: Jon got to go with the guys to a soccer game
Boo: We didn't get to go shopping together
Yay: I get to scrap all night and watch a chick flick
Boo: I have to get the kids ready for bed by myself....
I had a great list of things to do after the kids went to bed: Scrap to my heart's content, finish a project or two, watch the netflix movie that's been sitting on my counter for almost a week, and make my house look more presentable. Well....not one of these things got done. Around 6:00 my head started to ache and got steadily worse as the evening wore on. Ultimately, I went to bed with Mason, woke up long enough to put him in his crib and crawl into bed for real, and slept the entirety of the night. I was hoping I could take a little rest and get up and still do my list, but no luck. It was even still hurting when Jon came in around 1. {sigh}. I'm so bummed. I was also a little annoyed that it was STILL hurting this morning when Mason got up. So, I took more pain killers and slept more. Finally, after nearly 12 hours of sleep, my head is feeling better. Luckily I won't spend my sunday fighting a headache, but I'm still a little bummed my night didn't go as planned. Oh well. At least Jon had a good time!
** As a sidebar: Good Luck today, Bret and Erica, I'm sure you'll do great! **

I'm glad your headache is gone. It's no fun to be feeling sick when you have a lot you want to accomplish.
Sorry that you didn't get your stuff done, headaches suck! FYI Kile loves the video of Mason, we have to watch it over and over as he chants, "MASON!". Have a good night!
