It's true. I'm well on my way to mother-of-the-year. Today after feeding Mason some lunch, getting Brooklyn settled, and helping a friend on the phone; I sat down to eat my own lunch. Not wanting to hold Mason, I sat him down in his carseat and handed him a toy. (P.S. This would have never worked with Brooklyn. The carseat meant you were leaving and if you didn't....oh boy.) Anyway. I'd look down and check him from and time to time and all was going well. I was being successful with my lunch and he was entertained. Then, I looked down again. To see this:
Aren't I awesome? He'd completely squirmed down to this position and was totally stuck. He had the funniest look on his face, "Uh, what did I do???" and all his chins were bunched up because of hte way he was laying. He was kicking his feet trying to keep squirming but it wasn't working out so well... It was pretty amusing, but I felt a little bad.
Unfortunately, I have to dissapoint you all. I thought we had a video of Brooklyn singing Ariels song, but apparently they didn't turn out. I can't find them so Jon must've deleted them. Oh well. Sorry all! I'm sure something will come up sooner or later. Brooklyn's notorious at our house for saying goofy things.
At the moment, we're pretending to rest. I'm so frustrated because I KNOW she is in need of one. She got up relatively early today. I also know she's gonna fight it until I give up and then around dinner time everything will make her cry and she'll crash in the car and be impossible to wake up. Then, we'll put her to bed and she'll play until midnight. {sigh} I just don't know what to do anymore. I would put her in her room, but then she'll just play. Not to mention the fact that Mason's in there, so she'd just wake him up. Most days she's fine without it, but I just know today could be trouble. Oh well. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and keep my fingers crossed! We'll take some more videos soon and I'll get those up! :D. enjoy :D.
