Two nights ago should have warned me how Thursday was gonna go. I lost count of how many times I got up with Mason, and I didn't realize until the next day that Jon had gotten up with him too. We'll leave it to say that it was a ROUGH night. The next day wasn't much better. This picture doesn't do him justice, but he had RED RED, watery eyes, a runny nose and you could tell he just didn't feel well in general. It was a sad, sad day. Needless to say, I didn't have high hopes going into last night. True to my expectations, I was up with Mason twice. Then, before I'd settlesd down into my bed, Brooklyn started coughing and couldn't stop. I got up again to give her medicine and actually ended up moving her out to the couch so Mason could sleep. Finally, stumbling back toward my bed, I looked at the clock. It was only 12:30! I couldn't decide whether to be upset that it was only 12:30 and I'd been up so much, or glad that it was only 12:30 and I still had lots of time to sleep. A conundrum to be sure! However I worked it out, I sank into bed just grateful to be there finally. To my amazement, the next thing I knew, it was 5:30 (or whatever time Jon's alarm went off) and Jon was getting up to go to work. I was so relieved! We moved Brooklyln back to her bed and I snuggled down for a few more hours of sleep. Unfortunately, that didn't last as long as I'd hoped. Seven-thirty rolled around with two VERY awake kids. Oh well. I couldn't begrudge it too much. I did get to sleep most of the night. So, we went for a walk and have just been lounging. Pretty productive, I know. We might
attempt the pool. I'm not sure it's quite warm enough for that, but we might attempt it anyway. Brooklyn hasn't been there for a while. She gets a little crazy when we're inside for a long time. She and I watched "Flushed Away" yesterday. I don't think she cared either way, but I thought it was pretty funny. I'm kind of into stupid humor, sometimes. It was a nice calming afternoon, at least. I was in need of that. So, we're off. Not sure what, yet, but Brooklyn is being crazy; making Mason laugh, but getting a little out of control.
